Finally! things are starting to feel like the Christmas spirit in the house. Since, I have been recovering from surgery we haven't really thought about Christmas and the FUN that goes along with getting ready. But, we have ordered and mailed out Christmas cards, the tree is up and decorated, and I am finally feeling well enough to start thinking about what Christmas treats I want to start baking :) The girls are getting excited to celebrate Jesus' Birthday and hang out with family. Christmas here we come.
I went to the Dr. today for my post-op appointment. Things are healing well, they removed my stitches and the stint that was holding my septum in place and cleaned my nose...yeah it hurt. I go back in two weeks for another cleaning (yeah for me) and to make sure things are still healing properly.
To keep you updated, we have signed up for the PRIDE classes. Not sure what PRIDE stands for but you have to take these classes before you can be licensed to foster parent. These classes are three weeks long we will take them on Saturday's from 9-4 and Tuesday's from 6-9. During these classes we will have a home study done and the social worker will approve us and hopefully by February we will have a child placed in our home. We are still very excited and anxiously awaiting the arrival of a little person to our home. We have been specific about the age, we will only take a child 2 or younger and we would prefer 1 but, we are will take siblings. We are excited for what the Lord brings our way.
Sorry, this post is so sporadic in content but I had a few things I wanted to update everyone on.
Andrea
